What is Rubwood ?
Rubber plantations have existed for hundreds of years in Tropical countries. These Plantations have been used mainly for the production of latex. After the economic life of the rubber tree, which is generally 30 years, the latex yields become extremely low and the planters then fell the rubber trees and plant new ones. This eco-friendly Rubber wood (Hevea Brasiliensis) when Processed becomes an excellent substitute for hard wood. Rubco in it's modern Plant, processes the eco-friendly rubber wood, making furniture and finger jointed edge glued panel boards. These products are marketed under the brand name of 'RubWood'.

Rubco introduces a range of prefinished furniture and finger joined , edge glued (EG) panel boards, manufactured in the country’s largest rubber wood processing plant employing imported machinery and state of the art technology, the Rubwood range is truly international in design, finish and durability. Its glue joints conform to JAS and DIN standards and can be used for a verity of wood applications. The modern manufacturing plant employs advance technology and has a processing capacity of up to 40000 metric tones per day.

The finger jointing advantage : Rubco panels are manufactured using the sophisticated process of finger jointing and edge glueing. Finger jointing is a modern technology wherein fingers cut at a fibre slop of 1:6 are glued with special resins and then interlocked with pressure. Since the glue area is 6 times the cross section area of the timber, superior strength is achieved.
Woodwork made easy : Rubwood EG panels have uniform texture, clear fibre and unmatched smoothness. Being ready to use they need no further planning, thus saving on time and labour costs. They are easy to saw, drill, bore or stain and have excellent nail holding capacity, machinability and glueability. What’s more, they ensure lower wastage of material too.
A range to suit your every need : Rubwood panels and beams come in sizes varying from 12 mm thickness upwards with a maximum cross section area of 5200 mm x 1300 mm. From table tops and wall panels to partitions and furniture, all your needs can be met with Rubwood EG panels.
